About the Artist

I have a compassionate heart, an analytical mind, and a storyteller’s soul. I believe that stories facilitate life’s deepest connections, and give every person a window into the world. Intellectually, I relish the way theatre allows for the re-creation of life in a controlled setting, giving us as humans the chance to look at the world under a metaphorical microscope. Empathetically, I use theatre to give a sense of solidarity to those who feel alone, reaching out in a way that I believe is one of the most powerful. I am deeply inspired by the collaboration of the artistic process, and find joy in the innately unique perspectives that every individual has to offer.

While I delight in telling stories onstage, my multi-faceted skill set also allows me to share my artistic voice from the perspectives of stage management, design, and particularly direction. This versatility has afforded me the opportunity to see both the world and the art form from a variety of angles and has consequently provided me with a unique outlook on both. Regardless of the role I play in any given project, my work signifies growth: both an unceasing motivation for personal and artistic growth, and the fundamental and extensive growth of humanity reflected onstage in the stories I tell.

Some consider the theatre to be a place of spectacle; a fantastical world disconnected from reality. I would argue that even that escapism more firmly grounds its audience in the essence of life. It reminds us what we are fighting for, and who we are striving to be. My mission is to tell life’s stories: both the ones that exalt us to the zenith of man’s capabilities, and the ones that lay us low with unparalleled defeat. For in joy and in sorrow there is beauty; the beauty of feeling things deeply and wishing things hard, of being knocked to the ground but standing back up again with the resiliency common to the human spirit.

I graduated from Messiah University with a BA in Theatre (Acting, Directing and Design) in 2021, and I have continued to follow my passion for theatre by serving on the board of directors of The County Community Players located in Presque Isle, Maine, where I have also flourished in various creative roles as a director, performer, and designer.
